This project was conceived with the full intent of securing the participation of the APEC private sector and concerned institutions in the gem and jewelry industry to facilitate investment and trade in the region. It focuses on precious metal testing and hallmarking which is a non-tariff factor that was perceived to have a bearing on trade and investment in the gem and jewelry sector.
