This toolkit is designed to assist APEC economies in the development and implementation of effective gender diversity strategies, with the purpose of attracting, retaining and promoting talented women in traditionally male-dominated sectors of the economy. It focuses on three areas specifically: mining, transportation and energy.
This document aims to describe in depth the challenges that women face in these industries, and more importantly, identify relevant examples of good practices across the region. This exercise intends to provide a basis for further research development, as well as serving as a catalyst to take actions to promote gender equality in non-traditional sectors of the economy.
