Media Information for Major Korea 2005 Meetings in November

Preparations are underway to extend full logistical support facilities to news organizations covering the annual APEC Ministers', Leaders' and other associated Meetings in Busan, Korea, on 12 - 19 November.
The Department of Media and Communication from the Preparatory Office for APEC 2005 has released the following media information:
International Media Center (IMC)
  • International Media Center equipped with facilities supporting media coverage during the week of the APEC Leaders' and Ministers' Meetings will be set up on the 1st floor at the third exhibition hall of the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (BEXCO) in an area covering 8600m².
  • The IMC will be in operation from 12 - 20 November.
    Host Broadcaster
  • Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) is designated as host broadcaster for the 2005 APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.
  • KBS will provide broadcasters worldwide with high-quality services related to 2005 APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, as well as manage the International Broadcasting Center which will be set up at the International Media Center.
  • Additional information related to broadcasting service will be provided through the host broadcaster at a later date.
Accreditation
Media covering APEC Meetings taking place in Korea should register online at the Korea 2005 Website.
