Media Registration Open for APEC Finance Ministerial Meeting

APEC Secretariat Cebu, The Philippines | 12 August 2015

Media registration is open for the APEC Finance Ministerial Meeting on 10-11 September in the port city of Cebu, to be chaired by Philippine Finance Secretary Cesar V. Purisima.

APEC Finance Ministerial Meeting (FMM), 10-11 September

The 21 APEC member economies account for three billion people, about half of world trade and 60 per cent of total gross domestic product. But trade remains sluggish, economic growth mixed and social mobility and income levels in need of a boost.

APEC Finance Ministers will assess the outlook for the Asia-Pacific and global economy, and take joint actions to facilitate wider, more robust participation in cross-border business development, trade and investment, mitigate economic and financial risk, and improve growth.

Issues in focus will include cooperation on infrastructure investment and financing; natural disaster preparedness and reconstruction; financing access and education for small businesses, startups and next generation entrepreneurs; fiscal and taxation reform; and the launch of the Asia Region Funds Passport.
