On July 31st and August 1st, 2014, the APEC Conference on Facilitating the Solar Supply Chain, initiated by Viet Nam and co-sponsored by China and the United States, was held in Ha Noi, Viet Nam. The Conference sought to update information on trends in the sourcing of inputs to solar-energy projects and possible changes that could affect supply chains in the future. It also aimed at creating a platform for APEC member economies to discuss current supply-chain management procedures and networks in the solar industry, as well as discussing opportunities and challenges in the solar equipment industry, with possible recommendations to tackle such challenges.
