This report identifies gaps, good practices, and capacity-building requirements in the region to promote more effective PPPs in transportation infrastructure, including airports, railroads, roads, seaports, and transit systems. It identifies and examines existing information on project identification, prioritization, and analysis and structuring of PPPs in the APEC region; incorporates specific case studies to highlight factors that led to the successful implementation of transportation PPPs; examines lessons learned that should be considered when implementing future transportation PPPs; and makes preliminary recommendations based on the gaps identified in the region and on standard best practices.
