Description
This report presents the discussions during the workshop of the same title held at the 53rd Meeting of the Telecommunications and Information Working Group (TEL53) in China. The main objectives of the project are: to provide a platform for APEC members to discuss internet economy related issues, with a view to improving productivity in the traditional service sector by encouraging the greater adoption and use of ICTs; to create a framework of the key elements needed to support the development of the “Internet + Service Industry”; and to conduct case studies and give advice to help economies recognize and capitalize on the benefits, and address the identified problems and challenges.
