Description
This report presents the results of the APEC Peer Review on Energy Efficiency (PREE) in Mexico, which was conducted by a PREE Review Team of eleven experts who visited Mexico City from 6-10 March 2017.
The PREE Review Team held comprehensive discussions on energy efficiency with representatives from government ministries and agencies. The review covers eight key policy sectors, each of which were covered by an expert.
This report concludes that energy efficiency is a key part of energy policy in Mexico and progress is evident in several sectors; however, the current approach to energy efficiency still faces considerable challenges.
