Description

Along with the increase in petroleum energy consumption, oil consuming economies have taken various measures to respond to resolve supply security crisis. Major changes are in supply side where the increase in non-OPEC crude oil production triggered a decline in crude oil prices and in demand side where the construction of refineries has failed to catch up with the pace of oil demand while petroleum product trading is expanding globally, particularly in developing Asia. This research is aiming to seek new policy actions and new concept of oil security that can enhance oil security in respective economies and in the region.
