This report summarizes the discussions and presentations drawn from the APEC Tokyo Conference on Quality Infrastructure under the project, Promoting Quality Infrastructure Investment in Rapidly Urbanizing APEC Region.

The conference highlighted the following objectives: (1) to ensure the participants raise awareness on the good practices and lessons learned; (2) to identify challenges and possible solutions in order to implement quality infrastructure (QI) development and Smart City development; (3) to provide the participants with many opportunities to see and experience QI investment accumulated in the City of Tokyo; and (4) to share the place to enhance capacity building for ensuring the quality of infrastructure and achieving smart cities in each economies.

Conference participants included government officials from ministries in charge of infrastructure from 20 economies, two non-member economies, international organizations, and Japanese private sector.
