This report summarizes discussions from a virtual policy dialogue of the APEC Economic Committee Second Plenary Meeting held on 24 August 2021. The policy dialogue canvased the existing challenges for Indigenous Peoples in the Asia-Pacific region that have been exacerbated by COVID-19 and identified the obstacles and success factors in unlocking their economic potential. In addition to the policy dialogue, several APEC member economies submitted additional references and case studies for inclusion in the report about their COVID-19 pandemic response and recovery, as well as general support measures for their Indigenous People.
