The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a unique cooperative, multilateral economic forum that promotes regional economic growth through trade and investment liberalization, facilitation, and capacity building.
Based in Singapore, the APEC Secretariat is seeking a dynamic Social Media Senior Executive to drive APEC’s digital engagement, strengthen its online presence, and foster meaningful connections with key stakeholders across the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media campaigns to enhance APEC’s digital presence and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage APEC’s official social media platforms (e.g., Instagram X, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube), ensuring consistent, engaging, and high-quality content.
- Produce visually appealing multimedia content (text, images, video, infographics) to communicate APEC’s initiatives, policies and impact.
- Monitor, analyse and report on social media performance, tracking key metrics and engagement trends to optimize strategies.
- Provide guidance to APEC’s stakeholders, including host economies, fora chairs, and policymakers, on social media outreach and messaging.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns for high-level events, initiatives, and policy discussions.
The successful candidate must be from an APEC member economy and must possess the following:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, International Relations, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-4 years of experience in social media management, digital communications, or online community engagement.
- Strong content creation and storytelling skills, with the ability to write copy and scripts, as well as produce engaging multimedia content, including short-form videos.
- Experience in social media strategy, analytics, and campaign management for a regional or international organization.
- Proficiency in digital tools, including social media analytics, content management systems, and graphic, photo and video production tools.
- Ability to analyse trends and audience engagement data to optimize social media strategies.
- A detail-oriented, creative and self-starter professional (a strong understanding of international and regional economic issues is a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Efficient time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
