Description

The study, conducted for the Business Mobility Group (BMG), found that business travel costs for APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) holders were reduced by 38% over the 12-month period between March-July 2010 and March-July 2011 for total savings of USD 3.7 million as a result of the ABTC scheme. Specifically, application time costs were reduced by 43.3%, immigration processing time costs were reduced by 52.4%, and application fees were reduced by 27.8% for ABTC holders engaged in cross-border business travel in the APEC region. It was also found that 91% of ABTC holders were satisfied overall with the ABTC scheme.
