Description
This report presents research on non-tariff measures on essential goods during COVID-19 in the APEC region. Specifically, this report:
- Canvasses the range of NTMs implemented on essential goods during COVID-19 by APEC economies.
- Identifies best practice of where APEC economies are doing well with respect to NTMs implemented during COVID-19 on essential goods.
- Suggests options to continue future work within APEC to enhance the benefits of trade-facilitating NTMs and decrease the costs of trade-restrictive NTMs.
