This publication builds upon the gap analysis for economic incentives for antimicrobial development. The options paper includes a review of identified gaps and opportunities, as well as a summary of an in-person workshop conducted on the margins of Senior Officials Meeting 3 in Seattle, Washington, United States on 31 July - 1 August 2023. The review of the workshop covers highlights from panel discussions on both push and pull incentives for antimicrobial development and ultimately presents key takeaways and potential areas for future work. Finally, this publication reviews progress on economic incentives for antimicrobial development during the APEC High-Level Meeting on Health and the Economy and strategic recommendations for APEC economies moving forward.
