Assessing Study on the Impact of Information Technology Agreement (ITA) and Future of ICT Trade

The objective of this APEC project is to increase knowledge about the latest trend of ICT products and technologies, especially in the Asia-Pacific region, and to increase awareness of the importance and implication of ITA and ITA2 for APEC economies.

This study sought to increase awareness of the future of ICT trade within the APEC region across nine areas:

3. Emerging ICT and 4.0 technologies
4. Trade of new and emerging ICT products
5. Impact of reduced tariffs on emerging ICT products
6. ICT policies and features in APEC
7. Achievement and possibilities of ICT to solve global issues
8. APEC economies’ involvement in ICT supply chain
9. Non-tariff measures affecting IT and ICT trade
