Description
Women are crucial stakeholders in agri-food chains around the world, contributing to agricultural development, the well-being of households and cohesion in communities, especially in remote and rural areas. Women farmers would play an important role in addressing food insecurity and climate changes given agriculture’s impacts on growth and sustainability. The approach of climate-smart agriculture would significantly work with the increased roles of women farmers. This project aims to improve capacity building for APEC member economies through sharing information, experiences, best practices in promoting women empowerment in pursuing climate-smart agriculture, addressing food insecurity and environmental challenges as well.
