Description
Nowadays, garment businesses that often pollute during the production process and do not apply solutions to save energy are at risk of having their orders refused. Meanwhile, consumers are increasingly concerned about the environmental responsibility of businesses when choosing products. These are the challenges and motivation for textile and garment enterprises to improve themselves, and transform impressively in the future. Using clean and renewable energy and promoting energy efficiency in the "greening" journey will help reduce energy security pressure and contribute to cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
In this context, Viet Nam held 2-day Workshop on Promoting Sustainable Energy Development in Garment and Textile Industry in Hanoi, Viet Nam on 18-19 September 2025 to share about the experiences, good practices, challenges and recommendations on how to promote sustainable energy development in the garment and textile industry.
This Report summarized the Workshop proceedings, discussions and recommendation to APEC and member economies.
