Description
The COVID-19 pandemic has severely disrupted cross-border travel. As vaccination rates have increased economies have implemented requirements and procedures that differ from economy to economy and as a result can hinder the safe and efficient passage of aircrew. If these requirements were less varied it would allow carriers to operate more freely and efficiently. It is imperative for economies to work together to facilitate air transport with risk-based approaches.
This report recommends that economies adopt a harmonized suite of processes. The aims of the recommended processes are to be protective of public health, while maximizing the ability of carriers to operate air services for the benefit of member economies and their populations.
