Description
This report presents the results of the APEC Peer Review on Low Carbon Energy Policies (PRLCE) in Papua New Guinea (PNG) conducted by a team of 11 experts who visited PNG from 1-4 August 2017.
This report aims to serve as a guiding document for PNG to advance towards its low carbon energy targets and comprises the following:
- A summary of PNG’s achievements in the energy sector thus far;
- The potential challenges PNG faces in meeting its low carbon energy targets; and
- Targeted recommendations made by the 11 experts to help PNG overcome the potential challenges and achieve its low carbon targets in a timely manner.
