APEC BCG Award
The APEC Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Award recognises individuals and enterprises across APEC member economies that have implemented innovative and replicable approaches to advance sustainable and inclusive growth. Launched in 2022, the award highlights contributions from women, youth and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), showcasing how bio, circular and green economy models can translate into practical solutions across the region.
Through the award, APEC promotes the exchange of good practices and encourages wider adoption of approaches that support resource efficiency, reduce waste and strengthen resilience. The BCG Award also contributes to advancing the Bangkok Goals on Bio-Circular-Green Economy, demonstrating how sustainability can be integrated into economic activities and create new opportunities for growth across the Asia-Pacific
APEC Photo Contest
The APEC Photo Contest began in 2011 to raise awareness on APEC’s mission, achievements and impact on people’s lives in the region. The competition offers a platform for professionals and amateur photography enthusiasts to showcase their work highlighting the dynamic and diverse Asia-Pacific region. Over the years, the photo contest has also continuously attracted many promising and talented photographers to share their creative take on APEC’s host priorities and APEC’s work.
APEC App Challenge
The APEC App Challenge was an annual competition that brought together young developers from across APEC member economies to design digital solutions addressing regional priorities. Through the challenge, participants developed innovative applications aligned with APEC’s host economy themes, with a focus on supporting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and expanding participation in the digital economy.
The initiative provided a platform for youth to apply emerging technologies, collaborate across economies and contribute practical solutions to shared challenges. Over the years, the APEC App Challenge highlighted the role of innovation and digital skills in advancing inclusive and sustainable growth across the Asia-Pacific.
