The APEC Photo Contest 2024 is now calling for submissions! Show us powerful images that will make us think and reflect how people and economies are empowered, included and thriving.
Inspire us with your photography and interpretation of any one of the following APEC Peru 2024 theme of “Empower. Include. Grow” and priorities:
- Trade and investment for inclusive and interconnected growth,
- Innovation and digitalization to promote the transition to the formal and global economy,
- Sustainable growth for resilient development, which seeks to promote energy transition,
These priorities aim to drive sustainable and quality growth in the while empowering people and build resilience to future shocks and crises. Your photos paint a thousand words that can illustrate this endeavor. Snap and share sights from the Asia-Pacific region that help to tell this story.
The photo contest is open to everyone—professionals and amateurs alike, young and old. Your work will be evaluated by a panel of judges consisting of the APEC Secretariat’s Executive Director, Chair of APEC 2024 Senior Officials’ Meeting, award-winning photojournalists, and photographers from the region.

Photo submission opens: 29 July 2024
Photo submission deadline: 25 August 2024, 23:59 (SG - GMT +08:00)
Participants agree that the APEC Secretariat will feature the 10 selected finalist photos on APEC’s social media channels – Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges.
The 10 selected finalists will also have the chance to win APEC Popular Choice Award on top of the main prize. Members of the public will choose their favorite photo to win the APEC Popular Choice Award via a link posted on the APEC website and social media channels, starting from the week of 9 October 2024 at 10:00 (SG) and closing on 22 October 2024, 18:00 (SG - GMT +08:00).
Winners of the photo contest will be announced during the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in Lima, Peru on the week of 11 November 2024. Results will be published on the APEC website and on APEC’s social media channels.
