Description

This handbook contains guidelines and best practice for implementing Green Recovery strategies and Regenerative Tourism in rural tourism communities to re-build capacity and economic resilience in the post-COVID-19 landscape.

The target audience of this handbook are tourism planners, conservationists, rural development officials, NGOs and community leaders who are involved in rural tourism and are looking to incorporate Green Recovery and Regenerative Tourism into their post-pandemic recovery strategies.

The handbook translates theory into practice based on real case studies of sustainable and resilient rural tourism communities that have weathered the COVID-19 pandemic. The case studies present a thorough description and analysis of how the communities sustained themselves despite losing income from tourism.

The critical success factors of Green Recovery implementation in rural tourism communities are identified and compiled, which are converted into a set of step-by-step guidelines for easy implementation by the relevant agencies, NGOs and rural tourism communities.
