This project final report summarizes key messages and recommendations as well as outcomes and participants feedback from the APEC Climate Symposium, focusing on the complexity of climate change adaptation and how to better address the complexity.

The APEC Climate Symposium 2025 facilitated discussions on the recent advancement of climate prediction and attribution research. The event featured a keynote session, two technical sessions on covering attribution, prediction, and adaptation and a panel discussion. Key outcomes included the sharing of advanced climate modeling techniques, the exploration of Event Attribution (EA) methodologies, and the discussion of cross-sectoral adaptation strategies involving health, agriculture, and finance. Participants emphasized the need for integrated knowledge systems and strengthened regional cooperation to enhance climate resilience across the Asia-Pacific. Also, APEC Knowledge sharing session served as a platform to share best practices of APEC member economies utilizing climate information services in climate change adaptation, based on the pre-reading brief, produced by member economies' (China; Indonesia; Thailand; and Viet Nam) contribution.
