This report summarizes the APEC Workshop on Leveraging Innovation-Driven Public-Private Partnerships to Enhance Food System Resilience, held on 3 February 2026 in Guangzhou, China. The workshop brought together approximately 90 participants from 12 APEC member economies and international organizations. It featured 10 expert speakers sharing successful PPP models, innovative technologies, financing mechanisms and regional coordination practices. Key themes included China’s legal framework for food security, Australia’s RDC model, Korea’s FOODPOLIS platform, Thailand’s fishery improvement and supply-demand integration, China’s post-harvest technologies, policy bank practices, and enterprise-led regional coordination, Singapore’s innovative financing, and the United States’ insights on global grain trade and fungibility. The report also summarizes a panel discussion on resilience and provides actionable recommendations for APEC economies to strengthen food system resilience through institutional frameworks, catalytic financing, regional integration and capacity building. The workshop directly supports the APEC Putrajaya Vision 2040 and the Food Security Roadmap Towards 2030.
