Description
Foreign direct investment (FDI) remains the Asia-Pacific’s workhorse for productivity gains, technology diffusion, and broad shared growth. However, in today’s environment, success is measured less by how much capital a market attracts and more by how long that capital stays productive, resilient, and inclusive. Based on six real-world best practices shared by six companies, this report identifies how companies have achieved investment longevity through three key dimensions: continuity, relationships, and human-resource development. It translates these insights into 87 actionable recommendations for both corporations and host economies. Four imperatives cut across every recommendation: shock-proof operations; shared value creation; accelerated local impact and linkages, and talent-chain resilience. Ultimately, the study highlights that securing FDI is only the starting point; sustaining it requires disciplined, results-oriented collaboration between business and government.
